- חַלִּיםm. ch. (cmp. חָלוּם s. v. חָלַם I) sound, capable of restoration to the original strength or form. Ab. Zar.69a זימנין דח׳ sometimes the disturbed pitching of the stopper resumes its original shape (by melting and hardening again). Ḥull.123b עור ח׳ leather (if split or rent) can be so mended as to regain its original strength. Ib. כי אמרינן דח׳וכ׳ when do we say, leather can be mended , when it is split straight through.R.
